Corinne’s watercolor originals and prints are available for purchase at her delightful Gift Shop/Gallery, The Color of Joy & Van Rensselaer Art Gallery, located since December 1996 in American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook. Corinne’s beautiful watercolor map of the Virgin Islands is sold in many gift shops all over the US Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St. Croix and St. John) and the British Virgin Islands (Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, Anegada).

Corinne’s exhibitions include several one-woman shows; participation in Virgin Islands Art Expo; participation in the Arts Alive Fairs (awarded best in Fine Art in 1995); she is the only artist who has participated in every Caribbean Colour Show, the annual St. Thomas/St. John Arts Council Fine Art Show (second place winner in 1996).

Life in the Virgin Islands started out in 1982 for Corinne, afloat, running a charter yacht.  She was born and raised in England, and studied architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture in London.  However the lure of the sea proved too strong and in 1978 the drawing board and building sites were exchanged for sails and lines, sun and water, and the wonderful freedom of such an open air life-style, first in the Mediterranean, and then in the Caribbean. She and her family lived until recently aboard their sailing boat "FLUTE".

The Color of Joy opened in 1990 at Tillett Gardens, as a studio for Corinne. Gradually she began to include works by a variety of local artists and crafts people, creating a unique and charming gift shop. Corinne opened the Van Rensselaer Gallery in 1994 in Havensight, showcasing primarily original art. In her new location, Corinne has successfully consolidated both these concepts, and expanded in June 1997 with the addition of a small custom framing shop.

Corinne served for three years on the board of the St. Thomas/St. John Arts Council, as chairperson for their Caribbean Colour Fine Art Exhibit. She has been a Rotarian since 1992, and has served for two years as President of her Club.
