The Color of Joy is not only the showplace of vivid watercolors by
Corinne Van Rensselaer but also the well known venue for Corinne's fine
custom framing. Corinne provides creative guidance and experienced
technical advice in her clients' framing design. Her 'artist's eye' and
imagination have an unwavering sense of the color, proportion and
harmony needed to enhance a work of art, and Corinne takes great pride
and joy in the results of her creative skills.
        For complicated or multiple framing jobs she prefers to work by
appointment with her clients, so she can devote the necessary undivided
attention to the design process. Appointments are available outside the regular opening hours for the Gallery.
        Corinne's little Gallery is a true treasure trove of artwork and gifts, including original paintings, batiks, photography, etchings, prints, cards, Haitian artwork, coral sculptures, ceramics, glass and larimar jewelry. Gallery opening hours are 10.30 to 3.30 weekdays, 10.30 to 1.30 Saturdays, closed Sunday and Tuesday.
        The Color of Joy is located a mile out of Red Hook on rte 322, just
before the Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas, in a quaint little turquoise
building, set back from the road, opposite the entrance to Cowpet Bay West.
